Progeny ES 8.8 System Requirements

In order to install and operate the Progeny ES software successfully, your personal computer (PC) system must meet the following hardware and operating system requirements.

Stand-Alone / Client Computer:

• Minimum Intel or AMD 1.8 GHz processor or equivalent,
  Recommend 2.1(+) GHz or multi-core system or higher for optimum software performance
• Microsoft Window XP Pro, Windows 2003, Windows Vista Windows 7Business Operating System
  (Windows 98, Windows ME, and any Home editions are not supported)
• Minimum 512 MB of RAM (memory),
  Additional RAM will significantly improve several components of the Progeny ES software
• Minimum 500 MB available hard-disk space,
  Recommend 2 GB+ for image storage, improved performance and database growth
• Minimum 800 x 600 16bit Color display,
  Recommend 1024 x 768 High Color (16bit) SVGA display (or better) for optimal display
• Minimum CD-ROM Drive,
  Recommend DVD-R/CD-RW Drive for data backups and transfer
• Compatible system mouse or pointing device
  Must have Windows-compatible network for multi-user configurations.
  

Server Computer :

• Minimum Intel or AMD 2.0 GHz processor or equivalent,
  Recommend 2.8(+) GHz or multi-processor or better for optimum database engine performance
• Microsoft Window XP or Windows 2003/2008 Operating System
  (Windows Server 2003 Server or newer is recommended).
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 (Express, Workgroup, Standard, or Enterprise)
  (Workgroup, Standard or Enterprise Edition recommended for digital document storage)
• Minimum 1024 MB of RAM (memory),
  Additional RAM will significantly improve database performance
• Minimum 4 GB available hard-disk space for data and backups,
  Recommend 10GB+ RAID1/5/10 for image storage, performance, reliability and growth.
• Minimum CD-ROM Drive for software installation,
  Recommend DVD-R/CD-RW Drive for data backups and transfer.
